Roundup of Shorts XIVI seem to be slacking off with my writing. I promise that I’m really NOT, it is just that I’m doing a lot of other things. I’m still coming up with ideas, still noting them down.
I do have an odd style of writing. I come up with an idea and then I push it aside and let it percolate for some time. My subconscious tends to write the story then without any interference from me, and I go on my normal way.
Sometime later I find that if I just sit down and start typing on the story, it blooms fully formed on the page, plot, characters, conflicts and more. Normally my first draft is my final draft. I give it to m’honey to edit for grammar and spelling, then I can normally post it wherever. It’s incredible.
Right now I have two stories percolating and they will be ready to be born soon, but they aren’t ready just yet.
