I seem to be slacking off with my writing. I promise that I’m really NOT, it is just that I’m doing a lot of other things. I’m still coming up with ideas, still noting them down.
I do have an odd style of writing. I come up with an idea and then I push it aside and let it percolate for some time. My subconscious tends to write the story then without any interference from me, and I go on my normal way.
Sometime later I find that if I just sit down and start typing on the story, it blooms fully formed on the page, plot, characters, conflicts and more. Normally my first draft is my final draft. I give it to m’honey to edit for grammar and spelling, then I can normally post it wherever. It’s incredible.
Right now I have two stories percolating and they will be ready to be born soon, but they aren’t ready just yet.

It’s been more than a few days, and a lot has happened. But I blame my sickness for not leaving me much energy to do much of anything other than laying around feeling bad.

“It” is going around here in Nashville. Both my wife and my daughter have “it”. Everyone is getting “it” and going to the doctor to get rid of “it”.
What is “it” you might ask? I have no clue. But the doctors tell us that we have “it” and I’m desperately trying not to get “it”. I think “it” is some sort of illness that exists among families. Everyone has “it” at the same time.
I think I’m coming down with “it” despite my best attempts to stay healthy. Gods help me….

Well, I have a pierced nostril now. It hurt like hell do do it, but it’s done.
How did I do this? Well, I have two pierced nipples and two sets of body jewelry for them. Plus I have a lot of starter earrings, you know the kind they pierce your lobes with? Well, I have been talking for a while about doing my nose, and I finally stopped procrastinating and just did it.
Took a needle from a hypodermic needle that I had (a friend works in cardiology and grabbed one). It was 22 guage, and my rings were 18. I figured that it could stretch when I got the jewelry in. So I shoved the needle through and into a cork in my nostril. Then I pulled it out and put in one of the piercing studs. Got it in and the back on. Except today I saw that it was digging into my flesh and making permanent bumps around the piercing site. So I pulled it out and put in one of the nipple rings.
That act was PAINFUL. The wound had stopped bleeding, but it was still leaking the clear ichor that coats and seals a wound like this. I had that stuff all over. I finally got the ring in, but I was shaking from shock that I had trouble putting the captured bead in. BUt I finally did it. Now to leave it alone.

I know that it irritates that I use Roman Numerals in these posts. You know what? Go refresh your memory about what they mean. Not saying it to be mean or anything, but knowledge that you have that you never use is knowledge that is useless, by definition.
I like how the Roman Numeral system is laid out. True when you get into the 50’s and higher, it gets harder, but it does work.
