 Victorian Finery

avatar

I’ve had this photo up on my desktop as a wallpaper for quite some time, but I don’t know where it came from.

My friend, Karen Anne Summerfield, sent it to me in a batch at one point, but didn’t include any additional information.

A Beautiful Victorian Gown

I figure it is a part of some photoshoot someplace, and if ANYONE who reads this knows where it came from, if you would please comment and let me know? Pretty please?

I’d so love to have this. I know it’s heavy and it is not practical for much. It’s probably a mourning suit. But it looks lovely.

In other news, Chaz Bono is finally officially a man. Don’t read the comments unless you like being pissed off.

Mini-Biography:  Joy is a transvestite who has been using her stories as a form of therapy. At this point she has no desire to undergo the full transition, but that might change some day. Read more about her story at My Story on this site.

I agree it is a beautiful gown. There is a real elegance about the Victorian and Edwardian period, a sense of style that seems to have been lost in the pursuit to retain ones youth.
