Roundup of Shorts XIV
I seem to be slacking off with my writing. I promise that I’m really NOT, it is just that I’m doing a lot of other things. I’m still coming up with ideas, still noting them down.
I do have an odd style of writing. I come up with an idea and then I push it aside and let it percolate for some time. My subconscious tends to write the story then without any interference from me, and I go on my normal way.
Sometime later I find that if I just sit down and start typing on the story, it blooms fully formed on the page, plot, characters, conflicts and more. Normally my first draft is my final draft. I give it to m’honey to edit for grammar and spelling, then I can normally post it wherever. It’s incredible.
Right now I have two stories percolating and they will be ready to be born soon, but they aren’t ready just yet.

Oº°‘¨I’ve always been interested in the Dinosaurs. I heard the old theory about how a giant asteroid hit the Earth and killed them all. The gem is that apparently it will hit us again, causing the same destruction. However, now we have an alternate theory, the Giant Volcano Killer. I think that the new theory makes more sense.
Oº°‘¨I had a bad moment or two when I read this next piece, but then I realized it was on “the Onion”, a well-known parody newspaper. I breathed a sigh of relief when I saw that.
Oº°‘¨Ms. Teressa and I tend to tease each other on Twitter and in various other forums we find ourselves on, and today is no exception. I had an idea for a “Farm” for Transgender People, and this is what Ms. Teressa came up with for me. But that’s okay, she has a wonderful finishing school for all you little sissies to go to. Just make sure to tell them that Joy sent you.
Oº°‘¨Need help in this economy in repaying your student loans? On USA Today, Sandara Block has some timely advice for getting rid of those loans. Just make sure you do, or the creditors might hound you to death.
