Well, I have a pierced nostril now. It hurt like hell do do it, but it’s done.
How did I do this? Well, I have two pierced nipples and two sets of body jewelry for them. Plus I have a lot of starter earrings, you know the kind they pierce your lobes with? Well, I have been talking for a while about doing my nose, and I finally stopped procrastinating and just did it.
Took a needle from a hypodermic needle that I had (a friend works in cardiology and grabbed one). It was 22 guage, and my rings were 18. I figured that it could stretch when I got the jewelry in. So I shoved the needle through and into a cork in my nostril. Then I pulled it out and put in one of the piercing studs. Got it in and the back on. Except today I saw that it was digging into my flesh and making permanent bumps around the piercing site. So I pulled it out and put in one of the nipple rings.
That act was PAINFUL. The wound had stopped bleeding, but it was still leaking the clear ichor that coats and seals a wound like this. I had that stuff all over. I finally got the ring in, but I was shaking from shock that I had trouble putting the captured bead in. BUt I finally did it. Now to leave it alone.
Oº°‘¨I’m sure that you like fonts just as much as I do. All that creativity and such that goes into the creation of these. Well, in my surfing last night I found two websites that I think are cooler than…. well…. something cool. My Fonts and Font Face are two good sources to find free fonts and to download them AND install them on your computer. No more are you limited to just what Windows or Mac decided you needed, now you can get even more! Vive le Fontalution!
Oº°‘¨Now this just geeks me the hell out. Designers Are Intrigued by OLED Light I read this article and I could think of about a dozen uses it could be put to right now. Panels of it in high traffic areas, like the living room, small panels of it in closets or under cabinets, behind my head on the wall so I can see what I’m reading, integration with LCD monitors to increase the energy efficiency and more. We are going to have the super future stuff yet.
Oº°‘¨I have a friend that I read a lot by the name of Deborah Lipp. She’s known in the Pagainism circles online and also for her work with “James Bond”. She’s a good lady. She does a Tuesday Trivia game that keeps my brain stimulated. Most times I have no clue what movies she’s talking about, but I thought I knew two of them today. Too bad they were already solved when I got there. Still, she’s a good read.
