I know, I know, but…

Apropos of nothing, but my mind and heart are filled with a lot of feeling right now.

I don’t have TV since I can’t pay the cable bill, but I read about something happening on the MTV Video Music Awards. Twitter was going nuts. So I went to find out. Did some digging and all I can say is wow.

That’s not right. I mean, there are a thousand ways something can be wrong, and a hundred thousand ways something can be right. That is just at the bottom of wrong.

Kanye West should be shot. He should, in my not so humble opinion, not be allowed back to any MTV event, PERIOD. There’s no excuse for what he did. Snatching the microphone out of her hands to praise another singer, and then to just take off like that. I saw a few other videos on YouTube talking about him, and how he keeps disrespecting people simply because he feels like it….

Well, see for yourself.

Poor Tyler Swift. My heart goes out to her. It’s bad enough to have that happen, but then to have the microphone thrust back into her hand and to be expected to just carry on like nothing happened– well, I don’t blame her for freezing like that.

Then for her to go on and give this performance:

Simply incredible. Fully worthy of a professional entertainer. I was so proud of her.

I went back to Twitter. Started reading some more. Friended Taylor AND one of my all time favorite female singers, P!nk. Read and just generally caught up on the fact that 99% of those out there all thought Kayne was wrong. Most were calling for an apology or his head.

Then I start seeing Beyonce’s name pop up in posts, commending her for something.

Talk about a class act. I love Beyonce even more for doing this, giving her a chance to say her piece. Remembering how it was to be 17. Just wow.

I always thought Beyonce was a good singer and a good dancer. Ever since she was with Destiny’s Child, I’ve liked her. This just makes me like her even more.

Now, talking about emotion…. P!nk is a wonderful singer. I’ve loved her music since “Most Girls”. Every song I hear from her is one that touches me deeply. So much of her music is what I have felt for a long time, I’ve really started to identify with the person P!nk projects as an act.

When she sings of the friend of hers who died due to drugs, it hits me hard and deep. I too lost a friend, not to drugs, but to Hodgskins. “Family Portrait” makes me near cry since it’s nearly what I grew up with.

I am grateful as hell that she didn’t really grow up with that. But I appreceiate her more than she knows because she gives voice to the pain that I can’t talk about.

Now off to listen to some MP3s and music videos on YouTube.
