Occasionally I see on other networking sites that there are memes in which the poster puts up lyrics that mean a lot to them. I thought I would occasionally do that here.

You might ask me “Joy, what meaning does this song have for you?”

Quite simply, it is a romantic song of a man who misses his wife desperately.  It is the need that he has of coming home to her.  THAT is the meaning it has to me.  It is the ideal that is held up that all little girls grow up with, a man to hold her, take care of her, protect her and love her.  It is the ideal that is rarely achieved in this day and age, but it is what is strived for.

I’ve had many times in my life to wish for such a relationship, and I think I have it now.  I know I have a better mate than I desereve, and I strive every day to be worthy of her love.  When I’m separated from her for some reason, I find myself running home as soon as possible.

And I guess that is the point of the song.
